Alphabet Tree

Alphabet Tree to Lift Your Spirits Are trees talking to you? In this season of Christmas Trees, Hanukah Menorahs and Kwanza treats, I came across what I would call an Alphabet Tree in my doctor’s office. Taking up a full wall, this tree had “branching” words for different letters of the alphabet. Trees can be strong, protective, alive, beautiful and nurturing. We all have our own trees inside of us. I decided to make up my own alphabet tree to bring cheer to those of you having difficulty at this season. Here goes: (Note the different colors and sizes of my ‘branches’ as I learn...

What happens at a therapy appointment?

Posted by on Jul 17, 2014 in Anxiety, Blog, Depression, Family Therapy, Grief and Loss, Life Transitions | 0 comments

I am practicing the title of this post by writing this post! I’m breaking a rule about writing about myself, a rule that I intuitively live by when I live out of my introvert. My comfort zone. For this moment, to meet my commitment to write this week’s blog, I am chosing to live out of my extrovert. (It’s really helpful to be on the cusp!) When I thought about what to write, I decided to use my own soulcollages(R) for my inspiration.  I broke a big rule yesterday, so the subject was on my mind. The rule I broke yesterday was “Be a good girl and do what is...
